Hollyoaks aired a shock twist in Sam Chen-Williams' ongoing feud with Warren Fox, with the police officer resorting to extreme measures.

In recent weeks, Sam and his partner Zoe have been trying to prove that Warren has been running an illegal business, but they've found proof hard to come by.

During tonight's (May 12) episode, Sam tried to patch things up with Zoe following their argument. However, Zoe later confessed her grievances to Maxine and Goldie, revealing that she needed some space.

While Sam hovered around the garage, Warren confronted and subsequently goaded the officer by offering him one of his cars. Sam coolly retorted by saying he "doesn't buy stolen cars".

The argument quickly intensified after Sam claimed Warren had both "literal and figurative" skeletons in the closet. Sam confronted the criminal by saying he wasn't scared of him but was swiftly put back in his place after Warren moved towards him.

Later, Zoe chastised Sam for meddling with the case, imploring him to let her do her job.

With their investigation reaching a dead end, the pair are awarded a breakthrough — albeit via indirect methods.

With Sienna wanting Dave out of her flat following his and Ethan's antics last week, Dave resorts to taking drugs in a bid to quell the pain left by Honour. However, Lizzie immediately knew Dave had taken an illegal substance.

Dave and Ethan subsequently met with Sam so he could confiscate the drugs. Sam labelled his father as a "child", and then came up with a devious plan to frame Warren.

As he arrived at a vacant garage, Sam planted the confiscated drugs at Warren's desk before texting Zoe with news that he'd found evidence.

Will he follow through with the entrapment, or will Warren finally be behind bars?
