Hollyoaks airs two major secrets in flashback scenes

Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Thursday's (November 16) episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn't air on E4 until Friday.

Hollyoaks has revealed what happened the day Rayne Royce died in a flashback scene.

Tonight's (November 16) streaming episode looked back on the big mystery surrounding the influencer's death.

After the recent revelation that Prince McQueen killed Rayne, his brother Hunter tried to get the details right, learning his twin and the influencer had an argument during the pool party.

Prince insisted Rayne's death was an accident, with Hunter asking him to go over their row again.

A flashback showed that Rayne was planning on proposing to her boyfriend Romeo Nightingale. Determined to keep the scheming influencer away from his friend, Prince confronted her.

As Prince was on his way to tell Romeo the truth, Rayne launched herself at him. Prince pushed her away too hard in response, causing her to hit the concrete.

"It's eating me up all of this lying," Prince told Hunter later on.

"I keep thinking about being locked up. I can't do it bro," he continued.

"You might not have to, not if we can prove it was an accident," Hunter reassured him, promising his girlfriend DS Zoe Anderson wouldn't find out about his brother's involvement.

Hunter kept his promise, lying to Zoe to cover up for Prince.

"He didn't do it," he assured.

Meanwhile, Hunter had a secret of his own. In a second flashback, the soap revealed he was the one who grabbed Rayne's phone after she died. He also attacked James Nightingale in a wolf mask the night of the Harcourts' ball.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
