Maxine and Scott try to get Carter to join in on their New Year's Day tradition of roasting each other over their previous relationships.
Feeling uncomfortable, Carter makes an excuse that he needs to go over budgets with Sally.
Later, John Paul receives a threat.
Meanwhile, Warren has booked Mercedes a scan. Over at the clinic, Mercedes is relieved when Warren arrives. He helps calm her nerves but things get concerning during the scan.
Elsewhere, Leah helps Vicky clean up the Youth Centre, but Vicky is more concerned about her friend using her brother as a rebound. As the two girls argue, Andre walks in hearing how his sister has doubts about trusting him.
Also today, over at the gym, Zain tries to help Darren but things turn competitive between the men. Darren admits to Zain why he wants to get in shape and Zain offers to help him starting tomorrow.
