Hollyoaks' Charlie Dean turns to drugs after Ella twist

Charlie Dean is heading down a dangerous path in new scenes on Hollyoaks.
Tonight's (February 23) episode saw the teen played by Charlie Behan still reeling from the consequences of Vicky Grant's spiking, growing increasingly lonely and turning to drugs as a result.
In previous scenes, Vicky downed an ecstasy-laced drink that Charlie and Leah Barnes were meant to share, ending up in hospital for an overdose. She has since recovered, but the teens have been keeping quiet about their involvement.

Charlie is currently grounded after having broken into the school with Shing Lin and is struggling to communicate his feelings to Darren and Nancy.
Whilst Nancy was getting ready for an important meeting at the school, Charlie accidentally slipped a hateful message he'd written about himself into her work folder. Not realising the piece of paper was there, Nancy showed it to the governor, thus ruining the presentation for Sally.
Later on, she yelled at Charlie, thinking those spiteful words were meant for her. The teen tried to explain how he felt, but caved under the pressures of Darren and Nancy's assumptions. They had a heated argument, ending up with Charlie storming off and calling up his dealer.

Charlie's girlfriend Ella Richardson found him panicking as he waited for his drugs.
Once he bought some weed right in front of her, a furious Ella confronted Charlie about his smoking, worried he wouldn't stop at that.
"You and me both know this won't end well," Ella told him, before making a shock decision.
"I can't. I don't wanna see you anymore," she continued, breaking up with Charlie.
As Brooke Hathaway made Darren and Nancy realise Charlie needs help, will they be able to support him through such a tough time?
Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
