Hollyoaks' Darren to become suspicious as Frankie and JJ story continues

Hollyoaks' Darren Osborne is set to become suspicious as Frankie and JJ's abuse story continues.
Since their arrival in the village earlier this year, JJ has subjected his twin sister to horrific abuse and regularly blackmails her into remaining silent.
Frankie has felt unable to tell Darren or Nancy about the abuse she's faced, though younger brother Oscar recently discovered video footage of JJ hurting his sister.
Oscar was then threatened by JJ to keep quiet over what he saw, before he later watched suspiciously as JJ threw away a pair of football boots covered in blood.

In scenes set to air next week, JJ offers to help Lexi get ready, with Frankie and Oscar uncomfortably watching on.
JJ then shouts at Oscar for having his missing football boots, before Oscar tells Frankie he is scared of JJ.
After finding the boots, JJ goes to throw them in the River Dee, unaware that Darren has seen him. Darren then confronts his son about what he saw at the river.
Later, JJ warns a scared Oscar that if he has told Darren anything, he will pay.

A panicked JJ quickly spirals as he believes Darren has realised he's been abusing Frankie and will involve the police.
Instead, Darren takes JJ to The Dog, where he meets a football coach who offers him a place on his team. When will Darren find out about Frankie's torment?
Frankie actor Isabelle Smith recently broke her silence on her character's dark storyline, revealing how she felt after learning she'd be involved in the plot.
"[The show's bosses] called us in for a meeting and explained they'd wanted to do the story for a long time but wanted to get it right and with the right people," she told Inside Soap.

"I felt so privileged that they trusted me and felt I was capable of doing the storyline; it was an amazing honour."
She continued: "The only reservation was being able to do it justice. I wanted to give victims of sibling sexual abuse a voice – it's something that isn't talked about, so it was important that they were seen.
"It's such a taboo subject that people don't even really want to think happens, but help is out there."
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
