Hollyoaks' Darren Osborne considers drastic action in Charlie story

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Recent scenes have seen Charlie Dean struggle with his mental health, with the teen becoming overwhelmed and anxious.

Next week sees Charlie's struggle continue as GCSE results day arrives, but Darren has an idea he believes will help the youngster.

The teens gather to collect their results and while some of them are celebrating, Mason Chen-Williams becomes deflated at the news that he's failed maths. While he wonders how he will tell his dad, Shing Lin has her own concerns as she realises Charlie has disappeared.

Charlie, meanwhile, heads to the park, where he bumps into Felix. Charlie decides to open up to Felix about the thoughts and feelings inside his head. Felix attempts to help Charlie work through his struggles, but Charlie then pushes him away.

A worried Darren confides in Tony about his idea to help Charlie. He wants to give the teen some of his own anxiety medication! And later he attempts to go through the plan – but Charlie refuses, saying he shouldn't have to need them.

Nancy also attempts to reach out to Charlie and leaves a voicemail message on his phone saying she is proud of him regardless of his grades. But Charlie isn't in possession of his own phone, somebody else is...

Later on, Charlie tries yet again to explain what's going on inside his head. This time to Shing Lin, but their conversation is interrupted when Shing Lin receives a text informing them that Jack has had a funny turn and is in hospital. Will he be OK?

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
