Hollyoaks' James Nightingale turns violent with Lucas in shock scenes

James Nightingale will turn violent on Hollyoaks as he clashes with stepson Lucas Hay.

The pair have been locked in a feud over the past few weeks, with tensions flaring as James locked Lucas in an abandoned shed in the woods.

Tonight’s (December 20) first-look episode saw Lucas feeling the wrath of Scott after he had vandalised his property, with the youngster forced to clean up his mess.

Things got worse after exploded following some gentle ribbing from Scott and Maxine, with his temper getting the better of him as he smashed a window.

His latest misdemeanour landed him at the police station, with James waiting for him as he was let go. They were soon at loggerheads, however, with Lucas begging James not to tell Ste of his latest error.

His pleading subsequently turned to threats as he attempted to blackmail James into keeping the secret. The lawyer was aghast as Lucas mentioned the incident in the woods, straining their relationship even further.

The pair clashed once more as Lucas attempted to head out in the evening, with James blocking the door just as the teenager went to leave.

Lucas tried to intimidate James once again as he threatened to expose his secret, but James was in resolute mood as he reasoned that Ste would believe him over his son.

The two engaged in a war of words, with tensions escalating as Lucas branded James a "nancy boy." This enraged the lawyer, who lashed out and slapped his stepson round the face.

The pair looked stunned following the incident; just how will their relationship progress following this traumatic moment?...

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
