Hollyoaks' Nadira reveals suspicions over Rayne's accusations

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks tonight continued its serious storyline of Rayne’s false accusation against Prince, but it seems Nadira is on to Rayne's lies.

Previously, Rayne falsely accused Prince of sexually assaulting her in an effort to alienate her boyfriend Romeo from his friends and family.

Prince previously denied any wrongdoing in the aftermath of the accusations. However, he did then accept Rayne's accusations and, in this episode, came over to apologise to her.

Romeo was immediately angry and told his now former-best friend to leave, but Prince tried to explain that he didn’t think he could have done that to Rayne but is sorry if he did.

A sympathetic Nadira handed Prince his boxed-up stuff before Rayne stopped Romeo from physically fighting Prince. Prince left, heartbroken at the end of his friendship with Romeo.

As he did, Rayne smirked, smugly satisfied that her scheme was supposedly playing out exactly as she’d hoped. However, Nadira spotted Rayne’s smirk and her suspicions immediately arose.

Prince was implored by his friend to not confess to sexual assault as they both know he didn’t do anything.

But Prince started to doubt himself and said he noticed that Rayne had been self-harming. He wondered why she would do that if he didn’t do anything.

Later, Nadira spoke to Romeo about the incident and made clear her suspicions. “Do you not think there could be more to it? It’s Prince,” Nadira said. But Romeo didn’t accept that and went to spend time with Rayne.

“I know it’s tough staying away from your mum and now Prince. But you’ve always got me,” Rayne said. “You don’t need those people in your life.” Nadira listened in, her suspicions increasing further.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
