Hollyoaks offers first look at Dilly and Rafe's big November story

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks has unveiled the first look at Dilly and Rafe's big story.

The siblings will be part of intriguing scenes next month when they attend a masquerade ball to raise money for the snow leopards of Butan alongside Rafe's ex-girlfriend Camilla, his current love interest Sienna Blake and her on-off boyfriend Ethan.

Sienna and Ethan are both hiding secrets from their hosts, as they have been attempting to scam the Earl of Dee out of his fortune for months. However, Sienna has developed real feelings for Rafe, while Ethan has found himself drawn to Dilly.

For these exciting new scenes, the Hollyoaks team travelled to the historic Arley Hall near Northwich, Cheshire to film the masquerade scenes. The location has previously been used for scenes in the likes of Coronation Street and Peaky Blinders.

"Words don't do Arley Hall justice – what an incredible location," said Matthew James-Bailey, who plays Ethan.

"I'm ridiculously excited for fans to see what we've been working on. The ball can be exactly what fans expect… grand. Expect ups and downs, maybe a sneaky twist."

Chris Gordon, who plays Rafe, added: "It was a real treat to shoot at Arley Hall. Some big productions including Peaky Blinders have used the location in the past and you can see why.

"I think it will add a different quality to Hollyoaks, rarely seen before. Chantelle the director was also a real pleasure to work with. I'm really excited to see it!"

Emma Johnsey-Smith, who plays Dilly, was especially excited because this was her first time filming on location away from the Hollyoaks set.

"The episode really adds to the grandeur of Rafe and Dilly's life," she said. "I think fans can definitely expect some twists and turns.

"Obviously the ball is for the snow leopards of Butan so that was kind of Dilly's main focus but it takes another direction that people wouldn't necessarily expect."

These dramatic scenes set the stage for a huge Christmas story involving Sienna and Ethan, with Anna Passey recently hinting that the festive plot gave her "goosebumps".

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
