Hollyoaks' Peri Lomax learns the truth about Rayne

Peri Lomax found out the truth about Rayne Royce on Hollyoaks, with the influencer's lies coming back against her.
Rayne has recently become jealous over Peri's closeness with Romeo following the death of his sister Juliet, and made a desperate plea for attention as she lied to her boyfriend about having a health scare.
Housemate Lacey was the first to realise that Rayne wasn't telling the truth, referencing that she had done this before with a previous boyfriend, but the social media influencer stopped short of confessing to Romeo.

In tonight's (July 6) first-look episode, events began with Romeo and Leela discovering that Donna-Marie had overdosed again, with the pair enlisting the help of Joel to kick down the doors of the gym after finding her unconscious.
After taking Donna-Marie to the hospital, Romeo confessed to James that he should have done more to support her, admitting that his mind had been "scrambled" following the news about Rayne.
Romeo then told Peri about the developments regarding Rayne, and asked if the former nurse could pull a favour to see if his girlfriend's appointment had been pencilled in. Meanwhile, Lacey grew increasingly annoyed with her housemate as she still hadn't confessed, with Rayne admitting she felt guilty after Donna-Marie's relapse.
Donna-Marie later made a tearful admission by revealing she couldn't cope following the passing of Juliet, believing that she had let everybody down. Leela, Romeo and James reassured her that it was them who had let her down, reiterating that they would always be by her side.

In the background, Peri did right by Romeo and duly checked the list to see when Rayne's appointment was due, before discovering that she had never had an appointment at Dee Valley Hospital.
She picked the seemingly perfect time to inform everybody of the news, with the revelation being aired just as Rayne informed everybody that she had been given the all-clear.
As the credits rolled, Rayne felt the prying eyes of Romeo's family, but how will she react to having her lies exposed so ruthlessly?
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
