Hollyoaks' Romeo turns against mum Donna-Marie in family feud

Romeo Nightingale has turned against mum Donna-Marie Quinn in Hollyoaks.
Tension has been brewing between mother and son over Romeo's relationship with social media influencer Rayne Royce, which seems to be occupying most of his time lately.
Friday's first-look episode revolved around Donna-Marie, James and Romeo getting a chance to have a video call with Juliet and her specialist as she continues treatment in Germany.

Rather than attend the call, Romeo decided to support Rayne by helping run her dating event to raise money for charity. Donna-Marie was irate over the snub, so she enlisted PC Sam Chen-Williams to get revenge.
The situation within the Nightingale family further disintegrated when James, Donna-Marie and PC Sam showed up to stop the fundraiser.
As Rayne broke down over the sabotage, Romeo angrily rowed with his mum over why she continued trying to wreck his romance.
Donna-Marie turned the tables by reminding Romeo that he'd not bothered to make time for a video call with Juliet, then insisted Rayne was the one to blame for turning him against his loved ones.

"It's not fair that Jules has cancer. If anyone should have it, it should be you," he told her.

Viewers know that there will be anything but good times on the way as Romeo makes a startling discovery about one of Rayne's former boyfriends in the weeks to come.
Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
