Hollyoaks' Sienna Blake makes shock Dilly discovery after death

Hollyoaks spoilers follow from Tuesday's (January 16) episode on Channel 4 streaming, which doesn't air on E4 until Wednesday (January 17).

Sienna Blake has been at the centre of heartbreak this week after believing she had been jilted on her wedding day by fiancé Rafe Harcourt.

A surprise turn of events last year revealed Rafe and his supposed 'sister' Dilly were actually husband and wife. When the former shared in last night's (January 15) stunt episode that he wanted to come clean to Sienna about their plan to ruin her life, Dilly made sure to put an end to their lies being revealed. Hitting Rafe over the head and locking him in the basement, she was devastated to later find he had passed away alone in the dark.

Tonight's (January 16) episode opened with Dilly covering Rafe's body in a blanket, ominously saying: "Sienna did this, this is her fault."

In the aftermath, no-one was aware of Rafe's fate, so Dilly lied to Sienna saying she didn't know where her 'brother' had gone, tearfully adding: "I don't know how I'm going to survive without him".

Dilly asked Ethan Williams over, who declared "it doesn't make any sense" why Rafe would abandon Sienna and the children if he loved them. As Ethan comforted his former girlfriend, Dilly panicked when she spotted some blood on a rug and hurriedly covered it before they could see.

Later scenes cut to Dilly scrubbing at the floor trying to remove the stain and staring at a locket with Patrick Blake's photograph in it.

Having drunk to mask her pain, Sienna found Dilly unconscious on the sofa and covered her in a blanket, stating: "Don't worry Dilly, I won't leave you. I mean we were almost related."

Sienna then saw the locket open with her deceased father's photograph inside and suddenly looked panicked. What is Dilly's connection to Patrick and Sienna?

A teaser at the end of last night's stunt episode showed a flashforward to Dilly visiting Hollyoaks High and talking to a photo of Patrick. She then turned round, speaking to a hallucination of him, saying: "It's as if they've forgotten about you".

Patrick, played by Jeremey Strong returning for a guest stint, replied: "But you haven't forgotten about me. Now it's time for you to finish what I started."

Elsewhere in the episode, Cindy Cunningham broke down learning the truth about the death of her daughter Ella Richardson and Joel Dexter was left in a coma. As everyone attacked Felix Westwood for his involvement in the crash, he protested his innocence over hitting anyone with a car.

Wracked with guilt, Ste Hay went to hand himself in to police, but a call from James Nightingale said daughter Leah Barnes needed him brought him back to the hospital before he could confess. Will Ste's guilt be revealed?
