Hollyoaks star Anna Passey hints at future for Sienna and Ethan

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks star Anna Passey has opened up about the future for Sienna Blake and Ethan Williams.

As part of an ongoing storyline, Sienna and her boyfriend Ethan faked a break-up in order for Sienna to trick Rafe Harcourt into falling in love with her so she can access the Earl of Dee's fortune.

Speaking to Inside Soap about the scam, which was Ethan's idea, Anna said: "Neither of them thought it would damage their own relationship, now they've got more to lose than they thought they would at the start.

In Friday's (September 15) first-look episode, Sienna and Rafe shared their first kiss after Sienna got a bridal model fired in order to pose as a bride alongside Rafe.

"They have to kiss for a photo, and in that moment Sienna realises perhaps her feelings for Rafe have seriously grown," Anna revealed.

Unaware that Ethan is watching from the sidelines, Sienna is later forced to convince him that she doesn't have feelings for Rafe.

"She tries to convince Ethan there is nothing going on with Rafe, when really she's trying to convince herself. It's a bit of a mess, and Ethan tells her she has to choose between him or Rafe.

When asked if this is the end for Sienna and Ethan, Anna said: "It can't be! They're so entwined but it's a big red flag. Even if they wanted to, can they ever get past the damage this plan has done and get back to how they were? There has to be a refiguring of whether they can still be together.

"I think Ethan is the right choice for her. Rafe is the dream and offers a lot of things Ethan can't provide, and would be a stable option. However, Ethan loves Sienna and the kids, and at the end of the day love matters more than money."

From Monday, September 25, Hollyoaks will stream first online via Channel 4 each weekday. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
