Hollyoaks star Chelsee Healey announces birth of second daughter

Hollyoaks star Chelsee Healey has announced the birth of her second daughter.

Taking to Instagram today (December 24), Chelsee revealed that she had given birth and shared the unusual name she has chosen for her daughter.

Alongside a snap of the newborn in her crib, Chelsee wrote: "Cookie Al Rainford. 22.12.2023, 6lb."

The comments section was filled with congratulatory messages. Celebs Go Dating's Anna Williamson and and TOWIE's Ferne Mccann sent their well wishes, while several of Chelsee's co-stars also sent messages.

Steph Waring, who plays Cindy Cunningham, said "Congratulations, so happy for you," and Felix Westwood actor Richard Blackwood wrote: "A massive Congratulations to you both! I’m truly happy for you."

Chelsee announced her pregnancy in July. "Baby Number 2. I am Not Sure me Or the world Is Ready For Another Coco ! But WE are more than Ready..." she wrote on Instagram at the time.

"For as long as Coco could talk she has asked for a baby sister or brother.

"Feel beyond blessed to be giving her her wish and being a mummy of 2, and I can't wait to have another baba to love unconditionally. We cannot wait to meet you, our baby love," she added.

In August she announced the sex of her second child during her star-packed gender reveal party, but she has chosen to keep the father's identity a secret.

Earlier this month, she revealed she'd been suffering from periods of blindness during her pregnancy.

Taking to Instagram, she wrote: "Been suffering severe migraines this pregnancy where my vision and eye sight completely goes, then a splitting headache, has anyone experienced this before during experience."

A return date to Hollyoaks has not yet been confirmed.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
