Hollyoaks star discusses Bobby Costello exit

Hollyoaks youngster Jayden Fox has bid goodbye to the soap following Bobby Costello's final scenes.

After the murder of Silas Blissett and attempted killing of DeMarcus Westwood, Fox's character was sentenced by the court to a minimum of nine years behind bars back in January, with mum Mercedes McQueen promising she'll stand by him despite his crimes.

In an Instagram video posted by the Hollyoaks channel yesterday (April 11), Fox held the 'Welcome to Hollyoaks village' sign and told the camera with a laugh: "I'd like to say thank you to everyone and I'd like to say a special thank you to [Mercedes actress Jennifer Metcalfe] for putting up with me for like five years.

"I've had a really good time with her, she's been like a second mum, and also thank you to all the fans and I hope you've all loved hating Bobby.

"Maybe I'll see you again in the future and maybe I won't, but that's goodbye for now. Bye bye!" he signed off.

The clip's caption read: "We've seen his final scenes, which means that's all from our Bobster! Here's a little message from the amazingly talented @jayden_jay_fox [heart emoji].

As another fan said: "I really hated Bobby, but that just goes to show what a cracking job you did!!! Well done, and best of luck for the future. I'm sure you will succeed in anything you put your mind to!"
