Hollyoaks star films final scenes for show after nine years

Hollyoaks star Ross Adams has filmed his final scenes for the show after nine years.
Earlier this year, the actor, who plays Scott Drinkwell, announced his difficult decision to bow out of the show at the end of his current contract. Scott's on-screen departure will air in the summer.
Following the news of his exit, Adams took to Instagram on Friday (May 31) to reveal that he's said goodbye to the village in an emotional video.
Captioned, "Me leaving set for the last time with absolute main character energy," the clip features the actor approaching the famous Hollyoaks sign, before looking sadly to camera and walking away.

Adams aptly chose to soundtrack the video with 'Julia's Theme', a piece of music that's often been used when a major character leaves EastEnders.
Fans were quick to share their sadness in the comments section, with one writing: "We will miss Scott so much! You've been a part of some incredibly important storylines. Wish you all the best for future projects."
Another added: "Won't be the same without you.. all the best for the future," with a third commenting: "Sad times. End of an era," alongside a crying emoji.
The actor also took to his Instagram Story to give viewers a glimpse of his last day on set. Adams shared clips of the cast and crew clapping him after he filmed his final scene, as well as snaps of his dressing room and selfies with the crew.

The soap star previously spoke about his departure from Hollyoaks on his Instagram page, writing: "Deciding not to sign another contract was one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make."
He added: "Sometimes though, you've just got to be brave — and now feels like the right time for me to try some other things that I've been super keen to do. I really hope you'll all come with me for the ride!"
Adams later landed a role on the second season of Channel 5 murder mystery series The Good Ship Murder, alongside Coronation Street stars Shayne Ward and Catherine Tyldesley.
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
