Hollyoaks star Gregory Finnegan discusses James and Ste wedding storyline

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.

Hollyoaks' James Nightingale and Ste Hay are engaged, much to the relief of those around them, after the on-off pair got back together.

But when it comes to the practicalities of the wedding, it seems there's going to be plenty of amusing clashes, as the two have quite different tastes.

Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, James actor Gregory Finnegan said his character would want "something classy, intimate, good cheese and wine, and ideally no children.

"But Ste wants a brash disco, basically.

"James tries to compromise, and he's better at it than he used to be, although it's a hard sell. James thinks Sienna is going to be his ace in the hole because he sees her as a classy woman — unfortunately, it doesn't go quite his way.

"But it's great filming with Anna [Passey, who plays Sienna]. We've long asked for more scenes together."

Sienna and Romeo are roped in to help, with Finnegan adding: "Ste is intending to put on a spectacular affair to ask them" and the whole thing is "completely ridiculous" and "quite enjoyable".

When asked about the honeymoon, the actor said: "James is a Maldives, Mauritius kind of guy — and he assumes that Ste is looking for more of a Magaluf destination.

"I'd love to film somewhere hot and sunny, but I've only gone as far as north Wales so far!"
