Juliet tragically passed away last month, with Blackshaw making her final appearance as the character this week after her family viewed pre-recorded messages.

“Jeri forever🫶🏻Throughout this storyline we laughed together, cried A LOT together and made lots of memories. Niamh, thank you for being my Juliet,” she wrote, accompanying a photo of the pair on set. “(we've also been nominated at the inside soap awards which is so cool! Any votes would be so appreciated)”

Blackshaw, who was also nominated for her performance at the British Soap Awards, responded to O’Donnell’s post, writing: “Oh Ru🥹😭💔 love you always xx”

Finnegan, who plays Juliet’s half-brother James on the Channel 4 soap, also commended Blackshaw on her performance, which he described as a “powerhouse.”

“We need to talk about Niamh. Her last work on @hollyoaksofficial aired last night and if you missed it, it was another tear jerker," he wrote. "It’s been so hard to film a lot of these scenes because we all love Niamh so much and are going to miss working with her every day.

Lots of love and luck for the future!! Ca-Caw 🦅Gx”
