Ste manages to move the car before the police find it. He takes it somewhere quiet, where he sets it on fire.
Not wanting to take part in Carter's new Student Behavioural Unit and be singled out even more, Lucas tells the headteacher to expel him.
After overhearing Lucas and Leah arguing and discovering his stepson has been expelled from school, James apologises to the teens for their father not being there. Things go from bad to worse when Ste stumbles in drunk. Lucas storms off and Leah is left heartbroken, blaming herself.
James sends Leah to find Lucas and to stay at Leela's place. When James goes to clean up Ste, he is shocked to discover his car keys in his husband's pocket.
Later, Ste admits to James he was the one who killed Ella. Wanting to erase it from his mind, Ste begs for James to let him score.
Meanwhile, Cleo bumps into Leela while on her way for a job interview. When Peri joins them, Cleo tells her that she'll make a beautiful bridesmaid, leaving Leela with some explaining to do.
Leela admits to Peri that Joel didn't really ask her to marry him, but she felt threatened by Cleo's return. Outside the hospital, Abe bumps into Cleo and asks her on a date, but Cleo says she's not ready to date at the moment. Abe asks Hunter for help.
Elsewhere, at school, Carter catches Freya and Dillon kissing in the corridor. When the headteacher hears Dillon is intending to check on Lucas that evening, he invites him over for dinner with him, Freya and Maxine instead.
