Home and Away spoilers follow from Thursday's Australian episode (July 13), which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away aired exit scenes for Mercedes Da Silva in the show's latest Australian episode.

Mercedes bowed out from Summer Bay as her storyline with Remi Carter and Bree Cameron came to an end.

A recent storyline airing on Channel 7 in Australia saw Mercedes' presence in the Bay threaten to drive a wedge between Remi and Bree.

Mercedes made a move on Remi, who rejected her because he wanted to stay loyal to Bree.

When Bree found out what had happened, she stood up for herself by making it clear to Mercedes that Remi wouldn't be tempted away.

In Thursday's episode, Bree worried as Mercedes responded to her rejection by threatening to leave the Bay for good.

Bree knew that Lyrik still needed Mercedes on board for the last of their album recordings, so she feared that the band would suffer if the talented violinist backed out now.

Mercedes initially stood firm by vowing to go – leaving Lyrik high and dry.

Fortunately, she later changed her mind by telling Remi that she'd stick to her commitments to Lyrik before leaving.

Mercedes told Remi: "We both know this album needs my magic touch. So are we doing this or what?"

After a final recording session, Mercedes managed to leave the Bay on good terms with Remi. She'd also earned Bree's respect, despite their previous differences.

Mercedes, played by Amali Golden, made her first appearance on Australian screens in late May. Coincidentally, these first scenes air on Channel 5 in the UK next week.

This week's episodes in Australia have also featured the final scenes for Andrew Lawrence, played by Joshua Hewson.
