“House of the Dragon”'s Olivia Cooke Admits She 'Bowed Like a Servant' While Meeting Tom Cruise

Cruise was one of many stars the actress met on set of 'Ready Player One' thanks to director Steven Spielberg

Olivia Cooke may have the grace of a queen onscreen, but she's still working on her in-person charm.

The House of the Dragon actress, 30, revealed an awkward interaction she had on the set of Ready Player One — which she starred in alongside Tye Sheridan in 2018 — during an interview on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on June 5.

Cooke told host Stephen Colbert there "was a celebrity guest every single day" on the set of the film directed by Steven Spielberg, and the legendary director caused her enough stress, as she said she was "mortified" when interacting with him.

"I'm like, ‘Oh god, don’t look at me,'" she recalled. "And he’s got loads of mates and they happen to be celebrities, like George Lucas would come to set. And then, we got whispers that Tom Cruise was gonna come to set."

Cooke remembers talking to a friend and seeing Cruise, now 61, "walk across the stage," prompting her to try to hide to avoid interacting with him.

"And then, I hear Steven go, ‘Olivia, come meet my good friend, Tom Cruise,'" she continued. "I completely blacked out, but apparently — my friend ran to the top of the stage to watch this interaction — and apparently, I bowed like a servant, like boobs to knee, like bowed, and then just shook his hand and then came to."

The actress joked that the moment was "void of chemistry" as her nerves got the best of her.

Cooke stars as Queen Alicent Hightower in the Game of Thrones prequel series, and teased that season 2 of House of the Dragon, which premieres June 16, will be about "bloodshed, legacy, power, sexuality and dragons" when Colbert, 60, asked her to use five words to describe it.

At the premiere in New York City, Tom Glynn-Carney and Ewan Mitchell, who play Cooke's onscreen sons in the show, similarly teased a season rife with tension.

"I think season one very much established this family's world on a knife's edge and all it was going to take was a push from either side to draw blood, and Aemond drew first blood," Mitchell, 27, told PEOPLE of his character, Aemond Targaryen.

"He becomes the most wanted man in the realm. And come season two, you're going to see the most wanted man in the realm."

Glynn-Carney, 29, meanwhile, spoke to how his character, King Aegon II Targaryen, will act as a ruler in Westeros.

"He's thrown into the fray, headfirst, unable to swim. So yeah, he's floundering. But also, there is a guise of his that — he's trying to wear it well. He's got a bit of a spring in his step," the actor said.

"He's finding it exciting. It's the first time we've seen Aegon with purpose. He's never had purpose before. He gets p-----, he stays in bed until midday, he gets p----- again and he does the same thing the next day. So this is the first time he's had a reason to get out of bed and he's a family man now, or the closest to his version of a family man."

Season 2 of House of the Dragon premieres June 16 on HBO.
