Hungarian military helicopter crashes in Croatia: media

STORY: Footage from Croatian broadcaster Nova showed scorch marks on rocks on the floor of a canyon close to the coastal city of Sibenik with police and others investigating.

Croatia's defence minister Mario Banozic said the Hungarian helicopter was returning to a NATO training facility in Zadar where helicopter crews from Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia carry out exercises.

Officials said Hungarian investigators would join the Croatian team on the ground to determine the cause of the crash, which local media said may have been caused by a collision with a zip line stretching across the Cikola canyon.
