The destruction of a Russian tugboat of the 498 Saturn or Proteus project off the coast of temporarily occupied Crimea was officially confirmed by Ukraine's Military Intelligence Directorate (HUR) in a June 6 Telegram post.

The successful attack was carried out by the Special Forces of the HUR's 9th Department in Lake Panske after breaking through the enemy's defensive barriers in the Black Sea.

This follows an earlier announcement by HUR spokesman Andriy Yusov on the same day regarding the overnight destruction of a Russian vessel in the Black Sea.

Russia has lost a total of 27 boats and ships since its full-scale aggression against Ukraine, the General Staff reported on June 6.

On May 30, the Russian Telegram channel Astra reported that Ukraine might have hit up to seven enemy ships in an overnight combined missile and drone attack on the temporarily occupied Crimean port of Kerch.
