I'm a Celebrity... South Africa has confirmed that two new celebrities are joining the special edition series — EastEnders legends Joe Swash and Dean Gaffney.

Swash and Gaffney will be entering camp in Tuesday's episode.

Swash, who starred as Mickey Miller on EastEnders, won the eighth series in 2008, wherein he starred alongside Martina Navratilova, George Takei and Esther Rantzen, amongst others.

Meanwhile, Gaffney, who played Robbie Jackson on the BBC soap, appeared in series six of I'm a Celeb in 2006, where he finished in fifth place. That series featured Myleene Klass, who also appears in this South Africa edition of I'm a Celeb.

Before entering the jungle for the second time, Gaffney spoke about that Trial that famously saw him scream his way through the jungle spa.

"That live Trial became folklore. Every year it gets wheeled out as one of the best moments, so even if I want to forget it I can’t! People still stop me in the street and chat to me about the Trial," he said.

"And whenever I am having a bad day, I put the Trial on and it makes me feel better. My pain is everyone else’s gain!"

Meanwhile, Swash admitted that I'm a Celeb has a special place in his and wife Stacey Solomon's hearts.

"Stacey is over the moon about me doing it. The jungle holds a big part in both our hearts. Without the jungle, we wouldn’t have each other. In a way, we owe it to the jungle to say goodbye," he said.

Before Swash and Gaffney can enter camp, however, the current campmates have to decide who to send home.

I'm a Celebrity… South Africa airs on Mondays-Fridays at 9pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
