I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! spoilers follow.

I'm a Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec have addressed Jamie Lynn Spears' exit from camp.

Opening tonight's (Wednesday, November 29) episode, which is the last to feature the singer and actress, Ant announced to viewers that Jamie Lynn had left.

"Good morning... we've got some breaking news for you, Jamie Lynn has left the camp on medical grounds," he said.

"The good news is Jamie Lynn is doing fine, and she goes away with our best wishes," Dec added.

Jamie Lynn's exit was later revealed to the campmates in a note read by Josie Gibson following the actress's absence from dinner. "Jamie Lynn has left camp and won't be returning," Josie said.

"We're going to miss her very much," Tony Bellew reflected, while EastEnders star Danielle Harold added that Jamie Lynn was one of the campmates she'd felt particularly close to. "I think camp for me is going to be different without Jamie Lynn," Danielle said.

News of Jamie Lynn's departure broke earlier today via a statement from an ITV spokesperson.

"She's been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities," the statement read in part.

Jamie Lynn is the second celebrity to exit the show after food critic Grace Dent, who also departed for medical reasons.

Elsewhere in tonight's episode, there was an unfortunate bug encounter for Made in Chelsea's Sam Thompson, who woke up to discover he'd had his blood sucked by a leech during his first night in the camp leader's bus.

"Ah, I've got a leech!" Sam exclaimed, pulling his sheets back to examine what had happened before adding: "Oh my god, he's had a field day... It's like a murder scene!"

Hollyoaks icon Nick Pickard also triumphed in his Bushtucker Trial "In Too Deep", despite an unfortunate name mix-up from Ant, and secured six stars after Nigel Farage pulled out of the challenge.
