Indian-origin female attorney charged with prostitution in US
Washington, June 15 (ANI): An attractive Indian origin attorney in the US, Reema Bajaj, has been charged with prostitution for allegedly 'offering to perform a sex act on man for 50 dollars.' The law expert is said to have met with a sex customer within 1,000 feet of a school during August 2010. Bajaj has been charged with two misdemeanours and one felony count, the Daily Mail quoted officials, as saying. DeKalb County Assistant State's Attorney Julie Trevarthen said that a felony charge has been imposed because one of the offences is alleged to have taken place near the school, while another offence involves 'charging a man 50 dollars to perform a sex act on him.' Police linked Bajaj to prostitution after discovering emails between her and a man while carrying out a separate child pornography probe. Reema had recently posted a statement on her website before it was taken down. "I am probably one of the few attorneys who knows what it feels like to be accused and in need of help. This action will only make me stronger and better able to understand what my clients are going through," she wrote. Bajaj had graduated last year and was admitted to the bar in November. She was charged on May 31 and is currently out on bail after submitting a 500 dollars cash bond. (ANI)
