Indonesia will soon be hosting its first-ever Dota 2 Major in Bali, known as one of the best travel destinations in the world known for its beaches and temples.

The Bali Major is the third and final Major of the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season and is scheduled to take place from 29 June to 9 July.

IO Esports and Epulze have partnered to host the tournament, with its last three days being held in the Ayana Estate.

The Bali Major will feature the 18 best-performing teams from the circuit's six regional leagues during the Summer Tour, taking place from 15 May to 4 June.

Western Europe and China will have four representatives in the Major, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia will have three teams each, while North America and South America will be sending two squads apiece.

While the Bali Major will feature a US$500,000 prize pool, the teams will really be fighting for DPC points. Those DPC points will go towards securing direct invites to this year's The International (TI), Dota 2's annual multimillion dollar world championship tournament.

The Bali Major will be the last chance for teams to earn DPC points, so the competition is sure to be intense.

But while we're already looking ahead to the Bali Major, fans can whet their appetite for top-tier Dota 2 with the ongoing ESL One Berlin Major 2023.

The Berlin Major is the second Major of the 2023 DPC season, scheduled from 26 April to 7 May. More importantly, it will be the first Major played after Dota 2's massive 7.33 update, which introduced sweeping changes in the form of an expanded map, a new hero attribute type, and more.
