"Ip Man 3" is second highest-grossing HK movie in 2015

6 Jan - Although the movie is still playing in theatres, Donnie Yen's "Ip Man 3" has already reached second place in 2015 Top Ten Highest-Grossing Hong Kong Movies.

According to Singtao Daily, the movie, which was released back on 24 December last year, has already reached HKD31.46 million (approximately USD4.05 million), beating the Wong Jing-produced "From Vegas to Macau 2" that previously held the position.

The Chow Yun Fat-starrer fell down to third place with HKD28.4 million (USD3.6 million).

However, it was the sleeper hit "Little Big Master" that topped the list this year, with a box office record of HKD46.7 million (USD6.02 million).

In the non-Hong Kong film category, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" surpassed other films as the highest grossing movie, with "Jurassic World" and "Minions" trailing behind.
