J-Stars Victory Vs big update and character list

It seems like everyday there is something new to report about the upcoming anime fighter, J-Stars Victory Vs, and today is no exception. Bandai Namco just revealed a new promotional video that not only showed off all 52 of the game’s playable and support characters, but also shed some light on J-Stars’ single player modes.

Just watch:

Did you catch all of that? No? Well let’s break it down.

In the new J Adventure Mode players can travel around the in game world on their own customizable battleship, as they complete different quests attached to a story. During these quests you will battle other characters and get points that will then be usable to buy parts for your ship.

But it’s not just points that you will be collecting during your adventures, you will also be on the look out for new cards to use in the in-game card battle mini-game. Here you will combine characters from all of the animes to create the strongest team possible.

The video went on to explain a couple different battle modes including both a free play and online battle mode. The free mode allows you to customize your character and practice his or her move set. The online mode allows you to team up with friends to play 2 on 2 death matches.

In the newly announced Victory Road, players will have to face off against a set course of enemies one after another. Players who can take on everyone of the characters and complete the Victory Road will be rewarded with a special prize.

J-Stars Victory Vs will be available on Playstation 3 and PS Vita as of March 19 in Japan. Still no word as to whether or not this fighter will get an international release, but I’m fairly confident we will hear something soon.

Now for that character list:
