Janet Jackson adds Nelly to ‘Together Again’ summer tour

NEW YORK — The Rhythm Nation will get “hot in herre” this summer as Janet Jackson has announced new summer dates of her Together Again tour, with rapper Nelly opening all shows.

The five-time Grammy Award winner has extended her highest-selling concert tour with a 35-date jaunt across the United States, kicking off June 4 in Palm Desert, California.

The tour then makes stops in cities including Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia, Hartford, Connecticut, and Buffalo, before making its way to the New York City area.

Jackson’s Together Again tour will hit Newark’s Prudential Center on July 9, followed by a show at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on July 10.

Promoter Live Nation described the tour as a celebration of 50 years of Jackson’s time in the spotlight and will specifically spotlight three of her seminal albums — 1989’s “Rhythm Nation,” 1993’s “janet” and 1997’s “The Velvet Rope,” which features “Together Again.”

Nelly, who collaborated with the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer for 2004’s “Call On Me,” will also be performing hit songs and fan favorites from his two-decade career.

The St. Louis-born Grammy winner behind hits like “Country Grammar,” “Ride Wit Me” and “Hot in Herre,” drew a record crowd when he headlined the 2022 New York State Fair.

Tickets go on sale for the general public on Jan. 19.
