  • Jason Kelce was jokingly called Taylor Swift's brother-in-law by a commentator during the former NFL star's WWE appearance

  • Swift has also been called Travis Kelce's wife twice by another sports broadcaster

  • Swift and Travis are enjoying their downtime this spring and recently returned from a Bahamas vacation

Jason Kelce’s recent surprise appearance in the WWE ring had one commentator jokingly calling him Taylor Swift’s “brother-in-law”!

Shortly after Kelce, 36, and his former Philadelphia Eagles teammate Lane Johnson removed their luchador masks to reveal their identities, one broadcaster said the former NFL center was a member of the pop superstar’s family.

“Isn’t that what’s-her-name’s brother-in-law?” the broadcaster jokingly remarked to Pat McAfee — who then launched into one of the singer’s hits.

“Are you feeling 22?” McAfee, 36, sang in response. “Is that what you’re talking about? ‘Cardigan’ … that’s family.”

The Pat McAfee Show host then added about Kelce and his brother Travis: “The number one sports podcast on Earth too. And a legend, both of ‘em.”

Former Cowboys quarterback and current CBS Sports analyst Tony Romo made the mistake twice last season.

During the Christmas Day game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders, Romo referred to the “Karma” singer as Kelce’s wife.

“And his wife loves it, I mean, girlfriend,” Romo said during the broadcast, after Travis notched his 900th career reception.

“You’ve been down that road with that before,” his partner in the booth, Jim Nantz, responded.

Romo, 43, made the same mistake during the Bills-Chiefs earlier that month.

"As you see, Kelce’s wife, Taylor Swift, in the audience," Romo said at the time, before quickly catching his mistake and correcting himself, adding, "Er, I'm sorry. girlfriend!"

"Not yet," another commentator then replied while laughing at Romo's blunder.

In recent weeks, the couple has been enjoying their time off from football and the Eras Tour.

Late last month, they appeared in happy spirits while on a lunch date at Nobu in Malibu.

Swift and Kelce were pictured leaving the restaurant hand-in-hand while sporting casual looks for their date, which came days after a sunny vacation to the Caribbean.

“They vacationed in the Bahamas for several days," a source told PEOPLE of the trip. "It was a much-needed break for both of them. They very much enjoyed it. They are so happy together.”
