When Jason Kidd is not busy with his NBA commitments, he spends time with his wife, Porschla Kidd (née Coleman).

Jason, a 10-time NBA All-Star, had a decorated basketball career and has remained in the sport since retiring as a player in 2013. Since then, he's coached the Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks.

Through it all, he's had his wife, a former model, beside him. The couple began dating after he and his first wife, Joumana Kidd, split in 2007 and have since had three children together. Jason and Porschla wed in 2011.

The couple are involved in philanthropic activities together, particularly for The Jason Kidd Foundation, and are often seen attending events with each other.

She was born in Mississippi

According to Haute Living, Porschla was born in Gulfport, Miss. However, she moved to New York City at the age of 17 to begin a career in modeling.

She told WLOX in 2003, at the age of 19, “After I graduated, I didn't go off to school because I knew I was going to New York to start modeling. Life in New York is fun, it's a lot different than being here in Mississippi. It's a big change, going up there and taking subways and all that. It's really fun, it's exciting.”

She married Jason in 2011

Porschla and Jason married on Sept. 10, 2011, after about three years of dating. In 2012, Jason paid tribute to Porschla on their first anniversary on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Happy anniversary to my sweet pea, I couldn't ask for a better wife and mother,” to which Porschla replied, “Happy anniversary lovey!”

The following year, Porschla celebrated their second anniversary with a social media post, saying, “Still feeling like I did that day! Happy anniversary babe.”

She has three children with Jason

Jason and Porschla have three children together: son Chance and daughters Noah Grace and Cooper Anne. Chance was born in 2010, Noah was born in 2012 and Cooper was born in 2017.

Porschla is also stepmother to Jason's children from previous relationships, including son Trey Jason and twins Miah and Jazelle, whom he shares with his ex-wife Joumana.

She worked as a model and TV personality

Porschla was a model, and throughout her career, she worked in campaigns with brands including Danskin, Rocawear and Frederick’s of Hollywood.

She told Seventeen in 2012, “It seems like a glamorous life, but the industry has to be looked at as a business. Always be professional even when others are not, be on time and show that you are serious."

She added, “Coming from Gulfport, Mississippi, where fashion and modeling are planets away, I fell victim to trying to break into the modeling world through scouting events at pricey hotels.”

Porschla has previously co-hosted The Morning Blend, a morning talk show based in Milwaukee. And, per CBS News, she also made the final of Star Search in 2003.

She’s a philanthropist and worked for Jason's charity

Porschla was the executive director of The Jason Kidd Foundation, per Haute Living. The foundation aimed to provide opportunities for young people through education, regardless of their economic background.

In October 2023, Porschla and Jason attended the TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art gala and dinner in Dallas, alongside the likes of Jason Derulo.

She has some famous friends

Like her husband, Porschla has some famous friends. In 2012, she appeared in an episode of Khloé & Lamar with Khloé Kardashian. The same year, she and Jason were photographed with Paula Abdul at an event in N.Y.C.
