Jenn Tran on having her own Taylor Swift–Travis Kelce moment in “The Bachelorette” premiere: 'That's amazing'

She also reflects on one of the more unique limo exits of the evening: "I was not expecting to see that much butt cheek on night one."

It’s safe to say that Jenn Tran was enchanted to meet Thomas N. after the pair shared their own Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift moment during The Bachelorette's premiere.

The physician’s assistant student, 26, tells Entertainment Weekly that she was thrilled when the 31-year-old former professional swimmer exited the limo during Monday’s episode and presented her with a handmade friendship bracelet.

“I was excited for that friendship bracelet because I've never gotten one before, and it immediately took me to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce,” she says. “I was like, ‘Check! That’s amazing.'”

Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, made headlines last July when he revealed that he tried — and failed — to gift the “Lover” singer a friendship bracelet with his number on it at one of her concerts. While the bracelet didn’t make it, Kelce’s message was very much received and the pair later revealed they’d started dating that September. 

While Thomas N. is well-versed in how you get the girl, some of his fellow contestants definitely shocked Jenn with their unique limo exits.

“Somebody showed up without pants on, so that was definitely a surprise to me. I was not expecting to see that much butt cheek on night one,” she teases. “He was like, 'You're not seeing anything but my butt tonight.' I said, 'Okay. Very interesting.'”

The mastermind behind that introduction was 27-year-old physiotherapist Tomas, who sported a wrap over his entire face and head as well as a hospital gown that opened at the back to reveal his rose-censored behind. 

His move did catch Jenn’s attention, though. “I was very intrigued as to like, why, and the person behind it,” she recalls. “I think the overall message of the entrance was very, very, touching. He was trying to tell me that it's about the personality, and I totally, totally agree. It's not always about the looks, but really the person behind it all.”

No amount of friendship bracelets, car key thievery, balloons, or casually exposed butts could sway Jenn from giving Sam M., a 27-year-old contractor from Myrtle Beach, her first impression rose that evening, however.

“I really just kept thinking back to who was a most comfortable with on night one, like who do I feel most safe with so far?” Jenn explains. “And I think that was the logic behind it, because I just kept thinking back to someone who I felt was gonna bring out the best me so far and had the most potential, and Sam M. was that.”

The Bachelorette airs Mondays on ABC and streams the next day on Hulu.
