Anyone who comes to Jenna Lyons’ apartment has the same request: a tour of the The Real Housewives of New York cast member’s famed closet. And now, she is selling some of the most iconic items in there.

The former J.Crew president and executive creative director, 55, is partnering with eBay for the new limited “Luxe Line” consignment concierge, where she is selling three handbags from her personal collection. The items — which are only available IRL  Dec. 13-14 in Los Angeles and Dec. 16 in Las Vegas — include a Celine Luggage Bag, a Louis Vuitton Black Epi Leather Keepall and a Miu Miu 2-Way Boston Bag.

Despite being a longtime eBay user, Lyons struggles when it comes to consigning her own pieces. “It's hard to let go,” Lyons tells PEOPLE. “I'm like a baby when it comes to all that stuff. So much of it is attached to memories and times in your life.”

What motivated her to part with her beloved bags is that eBay is donating all of the proceeds to Doctors Without Borders. “It’s the holidays and I’m so fortunate, so it felt like the right thing to do.” (Note: If you’re not in LA or Las Vegas, you can still shop some of Lyons’ collection via auction at ebay.com/JennaLyons.)

And while the bags she’s giving away hold a special place in her heart (the red Luggage bag is the first Celine she’d ever bought and the YSL was purchased during an “incredibly fun” trip to Paris), Lyons says she made the decision based on the last time she actually wore the bags.

"I'm like, 'Okay, I reached for you over and over again, but I haven't reached for you in the last couple of years.’”

She is also happy that someone else will get to enjoy them. “It’s so nice to be able to give something a second chance because all of the pieces I have, I love them, but now someone else gets to love them.”

Still, not everything in her closet is up for grabs. She has a list of pieces that she’ll never part with starting with the feather skirt she wore to Solange Knowles’ wedding in 2020.

“I have been hit up more times than I can count to get rid of that. It will never happen,” Lyons says.

There’s also a pair of Prada heels that even though she never wears, maintain a permanent spot on her shelf. “They have these gigantic jewels on them and every time I walk into my closet, they make me happy.”

And from her J.Crew days, she has a “showstopper” multicolored sequin jacket. “We only made two because it was so expensive. And so that feels really special to me.”

One item she’s more than happy to get rid of is the vintage Levi’s she wore on the RHONY season 14 reunion episode.

“I would absolutely auction them off because lord knows people have been like, "where do I get them?" she says of the jeans which sparked an online debate about whether it was appropriate to wear denim to a reunion while most housewives opt for a more formal look.

“I am just shocked and amazed at the attention it got,” she tells PEOPLE of the buzz he look generated. “I didn't realize it would be so controversial, it was not intentional. I'm also like, first of all, who cares? And second, this idea that I can't wear them to a reunion or I was somehow a faux pas — who made the rules? Does anybody really want me to come out there in a full-length sparkly gown? Really? I don't think that's what you want from me."
