Jenna Ortega knows how to rule the red carpet any day of the week.

The Wednesday star, 21, pulled out all the stops on Sunday for the 75th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, where she is up for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series for her role as Wednesday Addams in the Netflix series.

For her first-ever appearance on the Emmys red carpet, Ortega wore a Dior Haute Couture gown that she called an "art piece."

While speaking with E! during the preshow, Ortega said of her dress, "It's such an art piece, it literally stands on its own. It's a perfect dress to commemorate a special night."

Her structured strapless — sheer! — dress featured delicate pastel embroidered flowers dotted all over it. She wore her hair down and loose and kept her jewelry to just a necklace, ring and bracelet. Her best accessory of the night: her mom! The actress said she brought her mom along as her date for her momentous night.

Since her Disney channel days, Ortega has made a name for herself in the acting world through her roles in projects like You, X and The Fallout — and rocked every red carpet along the way.

Last January, Ortega showed off her award-show style chops at the 2023 Golden Globes, where she was also nominated for her Wednesday role.

On the red carpet, the Scream star ditched the darker hues, instead opting for an ethereal brown Gucci gown. The show-stopping dress featured floor-skimming drop sleeves, a long train, as well as several drapey ab cutouts adorned with silver o-rings.

Ortega accessorized the textured gown with more silver, including lots of Tiffany & Co. jewels and a pair of silver pumps, which peeked through her dress’ sheer hem. For hair and makeup, she wore a perfectly tousled shag haircut and soft glam — except for her sharply winged eyeliner.

For the award show’s after party, she donned a more Wednesday-inspired look — a collared bustier corset, blazer and black pants, all by Dolce & Gabbana.

Prior to the Globes, Ortega was already a fashion figure to watch.

On her Wednesday press tour, Ortega and her stylist, Enrique Melendez, curated ‘fits inspired by the Addams Family icon, starting with one of her best looks to date: a straight-off-the-runway lace Versace gown for the series premiere.

Described by the stylist as someone who "fully commits," the 21-year-old actress has also donned several modern-day takes of Wednesday's white collar.

The iconic outfit detail is perfect for the up-and-coming star, who previously told PEOPLE: "People have been telling me I look like [Wednesday] since I was 6 years old."
