Jurassic World: Chaos Theory spoilers follow.

Jurassic World's newest animated Netflix series has just dropped a big story trailer — and it looks like Jenna Ortega is no longer involved.

Chaos Theory is the follow-up series to Camp Cretaceous, bringing back the 'Nublar Six' who are all more grown-up and living in a world where dinosaurs roam freely. The series is set shortly before Dominion.

As we see in the trailer, the six have become five after Ortega's Brooklynn is seemingly killed by some prehistoric predators. Her friends think she was targeted and they must reunite and work together before they are next, whilst also figuring out who did it.

Wednesday and Scream actor Ortega is not included in the show's cast list, with Deadline confirming that she has not returned for Chaos Theory.

Other cast members though, including The Goldbergs' Sean Giambrone and Titans' Ryan Potter, have returned to reprise their characters.

Meanwhile, another live-action Jurassic World movie is set to release next year. It will kick-start a new era of the franchise, without any of the previous main actors from either trilogy set to return.

However, studio Universal has lined up some big names for the upcoming live-action movie, with Jonathan Bailey and Scarlett Johansson set to lead it.

There will still be plenty of places to see Ortega on screen, too. One of the star's upcoming projects is the romance movie Winter Spring Summer or Fall, which serves as a reunion with one of her Wednesday co-stars.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory will premiere on Netflix on May 24, while all five seasons of Camp Cretaceous are available to stream on the platform now. Jurassic World can be streamed on Sky Go/NOW, Fallen Kingdom can be streamed on Netflix and Prime Video, and Dominion can be streamed on Netflix.
