Jennie Garth Shares Where Things Stand With Ex-Husband After Shocking 'Arranged Marriage' Comment

Jennie Garth had a major update for her followers after reuniting for a conversation with her ex, actor Peter Facinelli, on her podcast last month.

Facinelli made headlines after that episode for saying their partnership felt like an “arranged marriage,” as the two discussed the difficulties of their divorce and co-parenting.

But it seems the episode was somewhat of a breakthrough for the exes, as Garth said on this week’s podcast installment that the pair are on really good terms.

“Guys, we are officially friends now,” the “Beverly Hills 90210” actor said cheerfully, explaining that Facinelli “even unblocked me from Instagram.”

“I’ve been blocked on his socials for so long that I stopped caring years ago. But I’m unblocked now, you guys. That’s big news!” she said. “And not just that ― he let me borrow his cooler for a shoot that I had this past weekend.”

Garth excitedly added that Facinelli also “let me use his guest room for some fittings that we had to do with some people,” before describing one of the biggest gestures of all.

“He invited me to his son, Jack’s, christening,” Garth said, referring to Facinelli’s young son whom he shares with his fiancée, Lily Anne Harrison. “And this week ― get ready for it ― we are all gonna be going on a boat together, with the whole family!”

“Whether we push one another overboard, that’s still TBD,” the actor joked, before exclaiming that “this is the power of the pod, people ... A very good week is ahead of me, indeed.”

Garth and Facinelli were married for 12 years, before splitting in 2012. They share three daughters: Luca, 26; Lola, 21; and Fiona, 17.

Last month, Facinelli shared on Garth’s podcast that the kids were a big part of the reason he stayed in his marriage to her for so long.

“I felt like time was going by, and I didn’t want to wake up and be like 60 years old and be like, ‘Well, did I live this life for all these other people and not know who I was?’” he said. “I think that if we didn’t have kids, I wouldn’t have stayed, ’cause I would have had the freedom to go, ‘OK, I need to be able to figure out who I am.’”

After the two split, Facinelli was briefly engaged to actor Jaimie Alexander, before they parted ways in 2016.

Garth, meanwhile, tied the knot with actor Dave Abrams in 2015. She was previously married to musician Daniel B. Clark from 1994 to 1996.
