Jennifer Aniston is taking a look back at her time on Friends, revealing what the cast loved — and didn’t love — during their time on the show.

In an interview with Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson for Variety's Actors on Actors series, Aniston, 55, reflected on how quickly 30 years have passed since Friends first aired in 1994. She said she can still vividly remember the day the show premiered.

Matthew Perry and I were having lunch somewhere, and we knew Lisa [Kudrow] was getting her hair colored,” Aniston recalled. “So we ran into the hair salon, and I snuck up — she was in the sink — and I took the nozzle from the guy that was supposed to be doing it and just started washing her hair.”

She continued: “It definitely flew out of control, and that was unfortunate. But the excitement we had, it feels like yesterday.”

Thinking about her days filming the show brought back memories that made Aniston emotional. At one point, the Murder Mystery actress began to cry when asked how it feels to watch Friends now.

“I’m okay,” she said, wiping tears from her face. “It’s happy tears.”

Another more lighthearted memory Aniston shared was the cast’s reaction to having a live audience. While she didn’t mind it, she revealed that one of her costars wasn’t a fan.

Lisa Kudrow, by the way, hated when the audience laughed,” Aniston admitted,

“She did?” Brunson, 34, replied, surprised.

“She’d be like, ‘I’m not done! It’s not that funny!’” Aniston joked.

Brunson told Aniston that the rhythm of the script in Friends was part of what made it so funny. Still, she said she doesn’t foresee herself filming with multiple cameras, which is required to film with a live audience.

“To me, those are the best multi-cams — when you just feel like you’re watching a play, and your laughter isn’t interrupting the flow of the series,” Brunson said. “But who knows? Maybe one day I’ll do a multi-cam.”

“I think you and I could do one together — hello? — because it was a pretty nice experience, and we can bring it back to whatever maybe we want,” Aniston proposed.

To this day, Aniston said the cast has stayed Friends, and although it is sometimes hard to look back on, she only has good memories.

“The fact that it’s had this long, wonderful life and it still means a lot to people is one of the greatest gifts I think all five of us — all six of us — we never could imagine,” Aniston said. “And we see each other. I talked on FaceTime with Court[eney Cox] last night for an hour, and Lisa and the boys, and we just have a really — it’s a family forever.”

Friends is available to stream in full on Max.
