Jennifer Garner Cries at Her Daughter Violet's Pre-Graduation Sendoff: 'Bless Our Hearts'

“Tell me you have a graduate without telling me you have a graduate," the actress wrote of her 18-year-old daughter

Jennifer Garner is feeling emotional over her daughter Violet’s upcoming high school graduation!

On Monday, May 20, the actress, 52, posted a series of photos on Instagram of herself crying while attending her 18-year-old daughter Violet’s Class of 2024 pre-graduation sendoff ceremony.

“Tell me you have a graduate without telling me you have a graduate. 🎓 (bless our hearts 🥺♥️🤣),” Garner wrote of Violet in the caption.

In the first photo shared, a teary Garner clapped as she stood in a hall full of proud parents during the school ceremony. She then appeared to wipe tears from her face in the next snap as she stood outside while wearing a lanyard printed with her name.

Garner was also seen crying while sitting on a plane as she said in one clip, “How are we going to make it? What are we going to do?” She then lifted her glasses and wiped away more tears with a tissue.

A final photo showed the Family Switch star sporting a pair of silver glasses with ‘2024’ written across the lenses in large black digits as she stood in a kitchen.

Garner’s latest post sparked sympathetic reactions from her famous friends who have been through the same experiences with their own children.

“I’m sooooo with you ❤🩹,” Gwyneth Paltrow wrote in the comments section.

“Oh honey ... I know. 😢 ❤️,” Reese Witherspoon added. “You have done a great job, mama! I will be here for support and lots of hugs.”

Meanwhile, fashion designer Rachel Zoe commented, “Omg JEN I just stopped crying a week after Skys 13th so same girl same LOVE you madly and stay strong 💪.”

Garner shares her three children: Violet, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, with her ex-husband Ben Affleck.

In November 2023, Garner spoke about how well her eldest Violet was handling attending college tours ahead of preparing to leave the nest.

"It is exciting," she said on Live with Kelly & Mark. "I can see the stress — even though the excitement and stress go hand in hand. But she's handling it like a champ and she's totally in charge. I'm not having to say, 'Are you doing this, are you doing this?' She's a self-starter. And I'm just proud of her no matter what."
