"What’s in my bag? I’m embarrassed to even show you," says the actress in an adorable Instagram video
Jennifer Garner is putting her pride aside and opening up her backpack. The actress, 51, gave fans a look inside her bag, despite her nerves.
“I’m a little bit nervous but it feels appropriate to do ‘What’s in my bag?’,” she says in the Instagram post shared over the weekend.
Notebook, glasses case, a pouch full of pens (“Because pens are life,” Garner says) and an iPad are amongst the first few items she pulls out of her backpack. She also holds up two books, The Whalebone Theatre and The Giver, which she explains that she is reading with her 14-year-old daughter Seraphina and 11-year-old son Samuel, respectively.
“Lucky day! It’s my lucky day!” she says gleefully as she finds Tony’s Chocolonely chocolate bars.
And the snacks don’t stop there. The Yes Day actress finds several RXBARs, an empty bag of Smart Sweets candy and a ziplock bag with a handful of nuts.
“Gotta have your candy handy,” she jokes while pulling out another bag of candy and tea bags.
The star of the upcoming Christmas movie Family Switch then proceeds to pull out seven additional individual bags, boxes or containers of nuts, cracking up more and more as she finds another snack.
“I’m so scared I’m not going to have any nuts,” she manages to joke in between her laughter.
Garner captioned the post, hinting at what was to come: "What’s in my bag? I’m embarrassed to even show you….🥜🌰🥜🐿️"
Fans laughed with Garner and wrote their support in the comments section. Courteney Cox wrote, “You are adorable ❤️” and Lucifer’s Rachael Harris joked, “This is nuts.” Other followers filled the post with messages relating to her snack-filled bag.
Last week, the actress posted another video that many followers could relate to. While attending Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas One and All! show on Tuesday, Garner thanked Carey for “spreading the Christmas cheer” in a video posted of her enjoying the singer’s tunes.
In the Instagram Story clip, Garner waved her arm in the air while sporting bright green reindeer antlers as she sat and watched Carey, 54, onstage along with a crowd outdoors at the Hollywood Bowl.
“Thank you @mariahcarey for spreading all the Christmas cheer🎄❤️🤶🏻,” Garner wrote to Carey in her caption.
Feeling the love, Carey — who is known as the "Queen of Christmas" — wrote back in response, “Thank you @jennifer.garner for being so festive!! ❤️🎄." She also reposted Garner’s video.
