Jennifer Lawrence used this school hair accessory for an alternative to a slicked back look

We love a good half-up half-down hairstyle, it's classic, flattering, and a bloody Godsend on a windy day. But we'll admit, that making it look super classy isn't always easy with every haircut or texture, or in a rush. But all hail Jennifer Lawrence, because she just turned a primary school hair accessory into a chic half-up alternative that literally couldn't be easier to copy.

Yes my friends, the humble Alice band, headband, hair band; whatever you call it, it's never too far from a fashion revival, and if one has not graced your headtop since Mrs Parker's year six class then what have you been playing at?

Jennifer's simple black headband wasn't just keeping her bangs out of her face, or perching on top of her hairstyle, the band was pushed back further on the head, pulling back the hair toward the crown to create a similar effect to a half-up style. It was the perfect way to tie her uber-glossy waterfall hair to her fancy tailored fit.

A look to make Blair Waldorf proud, it's only fitting that it was word for the Saks Fifth Avenue holiday lighting ceremony in New York, where Jen was unveiling the department store's Dior 'Carousel of Dreams' 2023 Christmas window displays.

Word is the display across the 10-story building featured over 300,000 LED lights, but none shone as bright as our gal✨
