Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck keep distance, separate families at his son’s graduation
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reportedly paid no attention to one another at a graduation ceremony for the latter’s 12-year-old son, Samuel.
Amid ongoing reports of tension in their marriage, TMZ reports the estranged power pair exchanged not even an “air kiss” as they were photographed arriving separately to Wednesday’s gathering.
Affleck, who was seen still wearing his wedding ring, was accompanied by his mom, while Lopez showed up with her 16-year-old twins, Emme and Max. The two sides of the family reportedly kept their distance and also left the ceremony separately.
Also in attendance was Affleck’s first wife, actress Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares his son, as well as daughters Violet and Seraphina.
Wednesday’s sighting comes in the wake of reports that Lopez and Affleck are imminently headed for divorce after the actor moved out of their Beverly Hills home, which has since been put up for sale.
“At this point, they are just doing their own thing,” an insider told Entertainment Tonight earlier this week. “They went into their relationship very optimistic and thought things could change, but they haven’t.”
Affleck, 51, and Lopez, 54, were previously engaged in the early 2000s, but called off their wedding and went their separate ways in early 2004.
After finalizing their divorces from their respective spouses — he from Garner, and she from singer Marc Anthony — they reunited in 2021 and tied the knot the following year.
