How Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Are Making an Effort Amid Marital Strain

“They’re still friendly."

It feels like everyday there's a new development in Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's marriage, between the ongoing divorce rumors and listing their Beverly Hills mansion on the market. After Page Six reported that Affleck spent four hours with his wife at their home on Sunday night, a separate source told People that the husband-and-wife duo are still making an effort to see each other every couple of days amid their marital strain.

“They’re still friendly and see each other every few days,” the insider said.

The two have been photographed together over the last couple of weeks at events for Affleck's kids, where they engaged in some subtle PDA. At the end of May, the couple was photographed holding hands after Affleck's daughter Violet's high school graduation. Most recently, they were spotted sharing a kiss on the cheek on June 2, while attending his son Samuel's basketball game.

"It's a good sign they were at the game together,” another source told People regarding their appearance at Samuel's activity.

Earlier this week, a source told Entertainment Tonight that the couple has been "living separate lives."

"Jen and Ben have been living separate lives but have not officially separated yet," the insider said before adding that the couple was hopeful that their relationship would be different this time around, however, things have not changed. "At this point, they are just doing their own thing. They went into their relationship very optimistic and thought things could change, but they haven't."

People noted that Lopez has been living in their shared property while Affleck is staying at a rental home just miles away as he films The Accountant 2.
