Jennifer Lopez slams reporter’s question about marital tensions with Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez was forced to face the music Wednesday when she was asked about her struggling marriage to Ben Affleck during her ongoing press tour.

Lopez, 54, was on a panel for Netflix’s “Atlas” in Mexico City when a reporter asked “what is true about the situation” and “rumors” concerning her marriage to the 51-year-old Oscar winner, according to footage published on Instagram by Spanish-language show“El Gordo y la Flaca.”

“You know better than that,” said Lopez, earning backup from co-star Simu Liu, who told the audience, “Don’t come in here with that.”

The interaction occurred just two days after Affleck skipped Monday’s red carpet premiere of the sci-fi film, where she told Entertainment Tonight, “One thing you can always trust in [is] family.”

Last week, the couple was photographed for the first time since March. On Thursday, both stars were wearing their wedding rings, though the “Good Will Hunting” writer appeared without his the next day. They were photographed again Sunday at an event for Lopez’s child, before heading to dinner at celebrity hot-spot BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood.

Now living separately, Affleck is reportedly currently camping out at a home in Brentwood, having moved out of the pair’s shared $60 million Beverly Hills mansion.

The tensions are said to be exacerbated by the disappointing ticket sales of Lopez’s tour — supporting her “This Is Me… Now” album — which is kicking off next month.

Sources told the Daily News last weekend that the pop icon needs “serious emotional support” right now and “Affleck is not built for that.” Lopez ultimately suggested they relocate to her native New York, but as both have teenage kids in school, that isn’t necessarily feasible in practice.
