Jesse Plemons and Jimmy Kimmel don’t just catch up during their on-screen interviews.

When the actor, 36, sat down with the Jimmy Kimmel Live host, 56 on the Tuesday, June 11 episode of the late-night show, Kimmel revealed that the two Hollywood stars often see each other off-screen.

“Usually I see you, neither one of us are wearing suits, at circle time at our sons' school,” Kimmel explains. “Your son and my son are in the same kindergarten class together.”

Plemons nods his head, adding, “They are, they are. It’s a very sweet group of kids.”

The father of sons Ennis, 6, and James, 3, who he shares with wife Kirsten Dunst, then tells Kimmel a recent story about both their kids.

“I do have to tell you, the other day we were talking, and school had just ended, and we were asking him who’s the funniest kid in your class. He thought for a second and then was like ‘Billy,’ ” Plemons says, referring to Kimmel's 7-year-old son.

“You know what, we do tell him, ‘If you’re not the funniest, don’t come home,’ ” Kimmel jokes.

Kimmel, who is also dad to daughter Jane, 9, with wife Molly McNearney, as well as two older children from a previous relationship, says his little boy is also a big fan of Ennis.

“Billy loves Ennis too,” the comedian says before sharing that the boys have had a few small disagreements in the past. “I know they had a little dispute one time over a chair, there was a pencil sharpening incident, but they seem to have gotten over it pretty much immediately.”
