Jet ski riders rescued from Hudson River after falling and drifting in current

Two jet skiers were rescued from the Hudson River in New York on Sunday, 23 June, after they fell off the vehicles and were swept away in the water.

The New York City Police department released aerial footage of the rescue on Thursday, confirming that both men were located and rescued safely.

A helicopter is seen hovering above the water, where two men wearing life jackets float having been separated from their jet skis.

It was not clear if the pair had been on a tour or were jet skiing on their own.
