JLL sees growth in Phuket

Real estate management group Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) has announced that it posted more than 20 percent growth in Phuket in 2010, taking the total number of estates it manages on the island to 17.

JLL established its Phuket office in 2008 and now seeks to raise the number of its managed estates on the island to more than 20 this year, as well as increase the number of staff by 50 percent by the end of the year. Some of the estates managed by the company in Phuket are Kamala Beach Estate, The Bay Cliff Patong, The Cape and The Palm Beach Club.

"Phuket has many beautiful estates, ranging from villa developments to resort condominiums. Each of them is different and requires a multitude of (the) management's services. Making sure ours can deliver the requirements for each client is of utmost importance," said Dexter Norville, Head of Estate Management at JLL Thailand.

The company is also looking to establish a management office this year in Pattaya, where sustained growth in condominiums and resorts offer opportunities.

"As the trend of property owners and investors outsourcing to professional property management service providers continues, our portfolio of properties under management has seen a dramatic growth from 2.0 million sq m in 2007 to now 3.8 million sq m, making us the largest property management service provider in Thailand," said Mrs. Suphin Mechuchep, Managing Director of JLL Thailand.
