Joey King playing Slay or NayJoey King went to Cannes to slay the house down.
Sorry, let us rephrase.
"Slay the boots house down Houston on the seas," to be more specific, in her words.
King, 24, played PEOPLE's "Slay or Nay" and gave her two cents on what's hot and what's not, including $23 smoothies, dramatic haircuts, wearing multiple wedding dresses, cold plunges and more.
And for one of those, she declared it a "slay the boots house down" moment.

While getting a dramatic pre-carpet haircut by hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos — which King says is a slay, "I hope. I hope it’s a slay. Oh my God!" — she answers all of PEOPLE's pressing questions.
One thing she considers a "huge slay"? Kissing someone with lipstick on.
"Leave your mark. Let them know you’ve been there," she says.
The We Were the Lucky Ones star couldn't resist breaking out into song when asked her opinion on espresso shots, channeling her inner Sabrina Carpenter. She says an espresso shot is a "major slay" mostly because "she's a singer," much like Carpenter herself.
Included on her nay list are $23 smoothies ("in this economy!" she says), washing your hair every day ("what are you doing?" she questions) and reading the comments ("hate that mentally" she says).

Joey King at Cannes on May 25King, who wed her husband, Steven Piet, in September last year in Spain, had the strongest reaction to one question in particular: how she feels about wearing multiple wedding dresses, which she did for her own nuptials.
"Slay the boots house down Houston on the seas," she says confidently, referring to the viral TikTok voice over "Slay the boots house down Houston I'm deceased." Commenters on the video found her wording flub (and confidence) adorable.
