Joey Yung: I am currently single
4 Feb – After much speculations about their relationship, Hong Kong pop diva Joey Yung finally confirmed that she and boyfriend Wilfred Lau are no longer together.
As reported on Epoch Times, the singer, whose breakup with Wilfred has been hinted but never announced before, finally came clean about the two of them during an appearance at a brand event on 30 January.
Joey, who revealed that she will be travelling to Greece with her group of friends this August, gave a firm "No" when asked if Wilfred will be joining her as well.
"He hasn't for a long time. As an artiste, every statement that I make can affect others. That's why I have always been low-key about my feelings. But since everyone is asking, I will be honest. I am single now," she said.
The singer also stated that she is currently enjoying her single life, and believes that marriage and love are not necessities in life.
"You need more experience, and friendship has occupied a very important position in my life," she said.
Joey and Wilfred, who started dating in 2012, was rumoured to have broken up at the end of 2017. However, they were rumoured to have reconciled after both of them were spotted together on several occasions in mid-2018.
