Joey Yung & Denise Ho still friends

21 Nov – After keeping mum and avoiding the press, singer Joey Yung recently made her statement regarding her good friend Denise Ho's comment (or lack thereof) about Joey's alleged bisexuality.

Groove Asia reported that on 19 November, the singer attended a charity event and was quickly swarmed by reporters wanting to be clarified about the rumours that the two are no longer friends due to the scandal.

Joey stressed, "Denise Ho will forever be my good friend and there is no bad blood between us."

She also revealed that she did avoid paparazzi after her return from South Korea, knowing that they will be waiting for her at the airport.

The singer said, "I have always kept my relationships low-profile all these years. From mid-year until now, the rumours have been going on and on. It bothered me that it hasn't stopped. I don't really want to share my personal life with the public, and I hope everyone will understand some of the flaws in my personality."

Responding to the rumours of her breakdown and distress due to the rumours of her bisexuality, Joey stated, "I've been through a lot in my career, the words "breakdown" is too serious. However, I have indeed been troubled. But I'm not distressed because of the bisexual speculations. I'm used to being misunderstood and misled by the public and media. It's just that my personal relationships are of course, personal. The most important is to be able to accept love. There is no need to think too much or to go explain other things."

In regards to Denise Ho's recent declaration of homosexuality, Joey commented, "As a friend I definitely support her. She is not doing it for herself but is rather a fight for justice for a large group of people. If I was given the opportunity, I would do the same. It is not a big deal. Living in this world, there are just too many things to follow."
